NOFF is now accepting submissions for the 2013 Film Festival (October 10-17). Born in a city known for its eclecticism and artistic vibrance, NOFF seeks out bold and passionate storytellers. We encourage you to submit your film for consideration!

NOFF seeks films in eight different categories: Narrative Features (fiction films that are 40 minutes or longer), Documentary Features (non-fiction films that are 40 minutes or longer), Narrative Shorts (fiction films that are 39 minutes or less), Animated Shorts (projects 39 minutes or less, animated by any means), Experimental Shorts (projects that are 30 minutes or less and explore new and creative uses of film and video, whether in technique, form, or both), Documentary Shorts (non-fiction films that are 39 minutes or less), Louisiana Features (feature films—non-fiction or fiction—made by filmmakers currently living and working in Louisiana), and Louisiana Shorts (short films made by filmmakers currently living and working in Louisiana).

A FEW GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING:
*Prior Screenings: Entries may not publicly screen in the greater New Orleans area or be televised anywhere in the US prior to the festival.
*Completion Date: Entries must have been completed no earlier than January 1, 2012.
*Language: Foreign language films must be submitted with English subtitles.
*Prior Submissions: An entry that has been previously submitted to the New Orleans Film Festival is not eligible unless it has been re-edited or otherwise altered so that it is a substantially different film.
*Works In Progress: Works in progress will not be accepted for consideration.
*Deadline: All Entries must be shipped prepaid in a bubble-pack envelope. All entries must be postmarked by the deadline date for which you are paying.
*Formats: Entries must be submitted via secure online links or on DVD (NTSC Region 1 only). Two DVD copies are required. (If submitting multiple films, do not put them on the same DVD.)
*DVD Labeling & Shipping: Submissions DVDs must be clearly labeled with the film title, submission category, and run time. If submitting through Withoutabox, the WAB# is also necessary.
*Receipt Acknowledgment: To receive acknowledgment of receipt of your entry (in addition to Withoutabox acknowledgment), you must enclose a self-addressed stamped postcard with your entry.
*Notification: Films selected for screening will be notified on or around August 12, 2012.

- Entry Fee paid by Visa, Mastercard, money order, or check in US funds to: New Orleans Film Society. International entrants who do not pay by credit card must pay by international money order paid in U.S. dollars through a US bank. Entry fees are non-refundable. (Entry fees will be waived for those filmmakers who had a film screened during the 2011 or 2012 NOFF.)
- Online link or 2 preview DVDs (NTSC only). Please test your DVD on several makes and models of players. DVD+RW and DVD-RW are not acceptable formats. DVDs will not be returned.
