Synopsis
Truth in Terms of Beauty is a documentary feature about the life and times of famed jazz photographer Herman Leonard. Shot on location in the Crescent City before Hurricane Katrina, the film is a love poem to both Leonard and the city which he has made his home for the last fifteen years. Directed by three-time Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Vince DiPersio, the film is a beautiful journey through Leonard’s career, bringing many of his famed photographs to life in a way never before experienced, a tribute not to be missed by any fan of jazz music or photography. The film includes poignant interviews with lifetime friends Quincy Jones and Tony Bennett.
