USA 30 min.
When a young black man decided to take his spring break in New Orleans, someone loaned him a camera and asked him to bring back a few stories. The result is a piercing 30-minute documentary that offers an outsider’s “inside” view of post-Katrina devastation and recovery. Evan Arlen Gessessee worked for Common Ground, a grass roots group that helped people in the hardest hit parts of New Orleans. He faces tough questions of how people can become refugees in their own hometown, and presents a new understanding of what really matters.
