Synopsis
John Cazale acted in just five films: The Godfather, The Conversation, The Godfather Part II, Dog Day Afternoon, and The Deer Hunter. All were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar. All of them are classics. He was a roommate of Al Pacino, boyfriend of Meryl Streep, and died at 42. Today most people don’t even know his name. I Knew It Was You is a fresh tour through the movies that defined a generation. Meryl Streep, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Francis Ford Coppola and Gene Hackman are just a few of Cazale’s contemporaries in the film.
