Synopsis

In the early ’70s, before Pol Pot’s revolutionary Khmer Rouge seized control of Cambodia and exterminated bourgeois and foreign elements of society, Ros Sereysothea was that country’s most popular rock singer. This beautifully shot film records the singer’s imprisonment, when the only chance she has of surviving comes down to her sole asset.
