Synopsis
This thoughtful film highlights four main characters: the people of the community, their congressman, a staunch environmentalist and the beautiful swamp awash in birds of all kinds and cypress trees. Against this backdrop the question is asked: are we obliged to honor old promises? Promises is a tale for all rural communities and begs for answers to this question. It examines promises made, and broken, to people who have little political power.
