Synopsis

Starring Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh, A Streetcar Named Desire won four Oscars in 1952 and was the first film to win three out of four acting categories at the Academy Awards. It has been recognized by the American Film Institute as one of the top 100 movies and is included in their top 100 quotes list twice. Based on Tennessee Williams’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play, the film centers on disturbed Blanche DuBois (Leigh) who moves to New Orleans to live with her sister and is tormented by her brutish brother-in-law (Brando) while her reality crumbles around her.
