A truly “fair and balanced” look at a street evangelist, David Cobb, whose 30-year mission to the French Quarter has been to annually bring the gospel to Mardi Gras revelers no matter what condition they’re in… The film strays from characterizing David’s faith and beliefs and instead shows a reserved man who deeply believes in the redemption he travels to share with others. However, in the face of the inevitable, and alcohol-fueled, tit-for-tat heckling evangelicals encounter on Bourbon Street come Fat Tuesday, the film shows that many of David’s peers don’t quite live up to even-temperedness.
