Synopsis

“Eat To The Beat: Kermit Ruffins’ New Orleans” follows New Orleans’ most beloved son as he prepares for his weekly gig at Vaughan’s Lounge. For Kermit, that doesn’t just mean preparing a set list but deciding what to cook. While many people know Kermit from his albums or from HBO’s “Treme,” many may not know that he works hard to keep alive a long standing tradition in the clubs of the 7th and 9th Wards — making sure there is plenty of free food around for the crowd.
